Basic domestic transfer only: these 16mm prices cover a straightforward picture transfer to one MP4 viewing file per reel, with routine inspection and setup. They do not include sound capture, detailed cleaning, repairs, colour grading, restoration, ProRes masters, titles, editing or premium 4K Cintel scanning. Any additional work is quoted before proceeding.
Please note: each physical reel is charged separately. USB drives, postage, repairs, mould treatment, sound work and specialist restoration are additional where required.

Common questions
Before sending your cine films
Do you transfer domestic 16mm?
Yes. Basic picture-only domestic 16mm prices are listed by reel capacity. They provide a straightforward MP4 viewing transfer without premium processing. Optical or magnetic sound, repairs, detailed cleaning, editing, ProRes masters and premium 4K Cintel scanning are quoted separately.
Can several reels be combined?
Yes. Reels can be supplied as separate files or joined digitally in the order you specify. Number the boxes clearly to preserve the correct sequence.
Do you transfer sound?
Yes, where the film carries a playable track. This includes Super 8 magnetic sound and domestic 16mm optical or magnetic sound, subject to inspection.
Do you clean and repair the film?
Routine inspection, basic cleaning and splice checks are included. Broken perforations, mould, shrinkage, complex repairs and physical restoration may require an additional quotation.
What is the difference between domestic transfer and premium scanning?
Domestic transfer is designed to make family films affordable and enjoyable to watch. Premium Cintel scanning creates a 4K, editing-friendly archival master for 16mm and 35mm preservation, restoration and professional use.
Can I post the reels?
Yes. Keep reels in their boxes or cans, cushion them inside a strong outer box, include your contact details and use a tracked service.
